7-4. INT 74 MHz Free-Run Frequency
Adjustment
Be sure to perform this adjustment after replacing the
following parts mounted on the APR-65 board.
Further, confirm that the replaced board meets the specifi-
cations.
IC: IC1106, IC1118
VCO (X): X1102, X1103
Variable resistor (RV): RV1101, RV1102
Resistor (R): R1193, R1194, R1195, R1196,
R1197, R1199, R1200
Capacitor (C): C1191, C1199, C1200
Tools
. Oscilloscope: TEKTRONIX TDS460A or
equivalent
. Frequency counter: ADVANTEST R5362B or
equivalent
Preparation
1. Remove the inside panel assembly, and open the APR-
65 board. (Refer to Section 5.)
2. Power on SRW-1 and SRPC-1 for ten minutes or more
to warm them up.
3. Do not connect the HD SDI IN A/B connector and
REF IN HD/SD connector of SRPC-1.
Frequency Adjustment
4:2:2 59.94I mode adjustment
1. Set signal format on the SYSTEM Setup menu as
follows. (Refer to the Operation Manual.)
LINE: 1080I
FRAME: 29.97 (29.97 Hz)
SIGNAL: 422 (4:2:2)
2. Connect an oscilloscope to the followings, and connect
the frequency counter to the CH-2 output terminal of
the oscilloscope.
CH1: TP1106/APR-65 (side A, E-1)
GND: E903/APR-65 (side A, F-1)
CH2: 1 VDC/DIV
100 us/DIV
TIME:
3. Power on SRW-1 and SRPC-1.
4. Check the frequency counter value and adjust it.
74,175,824 ± 5 Hz
Specification:
Adjustment point: 1RV1101/APR-65 (side A, E-1)
5. Then perform the 4:2:2 50I mode adjustment.

6. Set signal format on the SYSTEM Setup menu as
follows. (Refer to the Operation Manual.)
LINE: 1080I
FRAME: 25 (25 Hz)
SIGNAL: 422 (4:2:2)
7. Change oscilloscope connection as follows.
CH1: TP1107/APR-65 (side A, E-1)
GND: E903/APR-65 (side A, F-1)
CH2: 1 VDC/DIV
TIME: 100 us/DIV
8. Check the frequency counter value and adjust it.
74,250,000 ± 5 Hz
Specification:
Adjustment point: 1RV1102/APR-65 (side A, E-2)
9. Then re-set the signal format to the customer setting
on the SYSTEM Setup menu.
