1-28. Removing Cassette when Tape
Slacked
When tape slack or other tape faults occurred in the unit,
take out the cassette using the following steps.

. Power off the unit before removing the cassette.
. Remove the tape carefully so as not to scratch the tape.
1. Remove the outside lid assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-1.)
2. Remove the outside panel assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-1.)
3. Press and turn the manual eject assembly knob clock-
wise until the cassette compartment is raised. This
allows the slack tape to be wound into the cassette.

. Remove the cause of the tape slack after the cassette is
removed.
. After the cassette is removed, turn on the power, insert a
tape, and check whether threading and unthreading are
performed normally.
