1-20. Software Upgrade

. When upgrading software, be sure to connect the AC
adapter to the SRPC-1. If the power is supplied by the
battery pack, software upgrade is disabled in some cases.
. If a cassette tape is remaining in the unit, software
upgrade is disabled. Eject the remaining cassette in
advance.
. A Memory Stick containing new version data is required
for software upgrade. Contact your Sony sales/service
staff for writing data in a Memory Stick.
. Use the VERSION UP menu in the maintenance mode to
upgrade the software. (Refer to Section 3-2-5 for de-
tails.)
. After upgrading APR65 Software, reset the Setup data
using the RESET menu. (Refer to Section 3-2-4 for
details.)
. Do not remove the Memory Stick during upgrade
operation.
The following built-in software can be upgraded.
Download time varies with respective software programs.
CP385:
Upgrades the ROM on the CP-385 board
on the control panel.
APR65 SOFT: Upgrades the software on the APR-65
board in SRW-1.
APR65 FPGA: Upgrades the FPGA on the APR-65 board
in SRW-1.
APR65 DSP:
Upgrades the DSP on the APR-65 board in
SRW-1.
DIF142:
Upgrades the FPGA on the DIF-142 board
in SRW-1.
DPR232:
Upgrades the FPGA on the DPR-232
board in SRW-1.
EQ99:
Upgrades the ROM on the EQ-99 board in
SRW-1.
SV224:
Upgrades the ROM on the SV-224 board
in SRW-1.
ALL:
Upgrades all the data (ROM, FPGA, DSP,
etc.) on the boards in SRW-1/SRPC-1.
Use the VERSION UP menu in the maintenance mode to
upgrade the software. (Refer to Section 3-2-5 for details.)

1-21. Writing/Rewriting PLD Data

This unit is equipped with a PLD (Programmable Logic
Device).
Write, rewrite or upgrade the PLD data with the VERSION
UP menu using a Memory Stick. (Refer to Section 3-2-5.)
Contact your Sony sales/service staff for writing data in a
Memory Stick.
Regarding how to upgrade the PLD, refer to Section 3-2-5
VERSION UP menu.

1-22. Video/Audio Test Signals

This unit incorporates a HD video test signal and audio
signal generators.
The test signal output is set using the SYSTEM Setup
menu. (For details, refer to the Operation Manual.)
