Reinstall these parts after cleaning.

When installing the fan holder (30), push it in the opposite
direction of the arrow to surely hold the metal net (bot-
tom). Then, tighten the four screws of the DC fan.

4-3. Maintenance After Use in Special
Environments
When you returned from shooting in a seaside or dusty
area or at a hot-spring resort, it is recommended that the
following items be observed.
1. Remove carefully sand and/or dust remaining in the
unit with an air blush or the like.
2. Remove the salt content or sulfur component adhering
to the boards or other parts using gauge or the like.
3. If the salt content or sulfur component is adhered to
the non-painted surface of the cabinet, these portions
might corrode in white. In this case, clean it by alcohol
promptly.
4. If water is dropped into the unit, dry it with a blower
etc promptly. Especially, confirm that the water does
not remain into the power supply block.
5. Clean the video heads, upper/lower drums, and
stationary heads with a cleaning cloth dampened with
the specified cleaning fluid.
6. Clean the tape running surfaces of the tape guide,
capstan shaft, pinch roller, etc. with a cleaning cloth
dampened with the specified cleaning fluid.
7. Dry clean the connector pins on the connector panel,
and the connector pins for connection to SRPC-1.
8. Clean the air vents in the inside panel assembly and
the connector panel assembly.
9. Connect a normal SRPC-1 to the unit, and perform
general operation checks (REC, PB, FF, and REW).
Check that no abnormal sound is generated and that no
problem occurs during the checks.
If any abnormal operation is detected, consult Sony sales
staff.
