Fault
Symptom
The KVM
is
inaccessib
le.
Issue 12 (2022-08-30)
Handling Procedure
1. Use a third-party tool, such as
PuTTY, to run the telnet
address :2198 command to
check whether the KVM port is
normal. The default port
number is 2198. Log in to the
iBMC WebUI to view the KVM
port number in the service
configuration. If the Telnet
connection fails, directly
connect the PC to the iBMC for
troubleshooting.
NOTE
If the server does not support
remote login over Telnet, use a
third-party tool, such as PuTTY, to
IP address command
run the ssh
to check whether the KVM port is
normal. If the SSH connection
fails, directly connect the PC to the
iBMC for troubleshooting.
2. Clear all browser and Java
cache and close all browsers.
Then re-log in to the iBMC.
3. Adjust the Java security level to
medium or lower, or add the
KVM address to the Java
exception sites.
4. Check the OS, Java and browser
versions on the client. Firefox
23.0 is recommended. For
details about the operating
environment requirements, see
the iBMC help document.

Quick Recovery Method
1. Follow the handling
IP
procedure to replace any
faulty modules.
2. Restart iBMC and replace
the local PC.
3. Connect the management
network port to the local
PC directly instead of
through a switching
network.
