5 Diagnosing and Rectifying Faults
Status Description
Off The network
port is not
connected.
Diagnosis
1. Connect the
port to
another
switch,
optical fiber,
and optical
module to
check
whether the
original
switch and
optical fiber
are normal
and whether
the type and
speed of the
original
optical
module are
correct.
2. Check
whether the
ports on the
switch and
NIC are up.
3. Check
whether the
NIC is
operating
properly.
