Grounding the mast

The mast is grounded to the satellite dish via an NEC-approved
ground wire. The RG6 coaxial cable connects the satellite dish to
the ground block. The RG6 shield is used for system and
protective ground. An NEC-approved 8 AWG aluminum ground
wire connects the ground block to the earth ground using one of
the three schemes shown in Figure 34 on page 78.
Table 13 lists the parts required to ground the mast.

Note: If you do not use RG6 quad shielded cable (CommScope
5781 or equivalent) you must run a ground wire from the mast foot
to the ground block and install it and the ground block ground wire
onto a split bolt and clamp nut.
