This document provides information for preparing the installation
site for DIRECWAY
®
satellite antennas.

This document is written for qualified telecommunications
personnel who plan and prepare for the installation of
DIRECWAY antennas.
The tasks described in this document should be performed by
qualified personnel who are familiar with local codes and are
capable of properly applying the information presented.
This document includes the following chapters and appendices:
Chapter 1 – Overview briefly describes the DIRECWAY system
and system components.
Chapter 2 – General requirements discusses requirements that
need to be considered and planned for prior to installing
DIRECWAY equipment.
Chapter 3 – Site survey presents guidelines for conducting a
pre-installation site survey. This chapter includes a Site Data
Record, a comprehensive form useful for collecting and recording
site information.
Chapter 4 – Installing mounts discusses planning and preparation
for installing antennas, indoor units (IDUs), and intrafacility link
(IFL) routing.
