New Fuser Unit Detection

• New unit detection is perdormed by energizing to the fuse in the new unit, and fusing.

Pressure of Fusing Roller

• The Fusing Pressure Roller and the Heating Roller are pressed against each other at all
times. They are released for maintenance service or replacement of parts.
• If a paper misfeed occurs in the Fuser Unit, the Fusing Misfeed Clearing Levers are
pulled upward to release pressure between the two rollers.
