• V.FC (Fast Class) and V.FAST modems are not supported by
BayDSP Digital Modems.
• The current alarm status for PRI/T1 isn't reported through
SNMP.
• The version of BayDSP Digital Modem code included in
Release 5.2 does not support MNP modems. If the
originating modem only supports MNP, the connection will
be made in a non-error correcting mode.
• V.terbo operation (a 19.2 Kb/s mode of operation similar to
V.FC) may operate with some modems but is not supported
with this release.
• The version of BayDSP Digital Modem code included in
Release 5.1 supports speeds from 2400 b/s (V.22bis) up to
33.6 Kb/s (V.34bis). Support for 300 b/s (Bell 103A) and
1200 b/s (Bell 212A) will be added to a future release.
• Support for 56K modes of operation will be provided in
Release 5.2 (x2) and Release 5.3 (K56flex).
• The following modems are known to exhibit compatibility
problems with the BayDSP digital modems:
• AT&T Paradyne Comsphere 3810
• AT&T Paradyne 3740-A1-201
• Motorola Codex 3261
• UDS V.3225
• Diamond Telecommander 2500 and 3500
• Racal V.34 models 3292 and 3264
• GVC 33.6
• The ISDN TAs listed below are known to have compatibility
problems running Mulitlink PPP with the RA 6300, RA5393,
5399 RAC, and 8000 RAC models. However, running single-
link PPP with these TAs on those models is supported:
• Courier I-Modem (firmware version 2.1.4)
• Zyxel2864I (firmware version 2.05)
