the telco indicates that such a conversion is taking place. Enabling this
feature may result in an inability to achieve connect speeds in excess
of 31.2 Kb/s. In addition, as in any situation where a downlink digital
to analog conversion (PCM hop) is made, 56K (V.pcm) connections
are not possible.
