18. Only use genuine spare parts according to the model. The use of any non-genuine spare
or part generates a hazard, as they are part of the pressure cooker safety system. Non-
genuine parts void the manufacturer's warranty.
19. Do not tamper with any of the safety systems other than following the maintenance
instructions specified in the instructions for use.
20. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

Manufacturer's recommendations

To get the most out of your new Fagor pressure cooker, read these recommendations
thoroughly before you start to use it, and follow them carefully.
1.
Never use the pressure cooker with a broken or worn silicone sealing ring (8). Check before
each use to make sure it is flexible and it has no cracks or tears. If you need to replace it, see
the "Cleaning and care" section in this manual.
2.
If using a gas cooker, adjust the flame and place the pressure cooker in the centre of the
burner to prevent the flames from spreading beyond the pot base. This will save energy and
prevent deterioration of the side handles (9) and silicone sealing ring (8).
3.
Before starting to cook, make sure that the valves are free of food remains that could block
them. See the more detailed instructions in this manual.
4.
When opening the pressure cooker, after releasing the pressure, remove the lid (1) carefully
to prevent any steam remaining inside the cooker coming towards you.
5.
Pressure cookers must not be used for medical purposes, for example for sterilisation.
These cookers are not designed to reach the temperature required for full sterilisation.
6.
Do not allow anyone unfamiliar with this instruction manual to use the pressure cooker.
7.
To reduce the risk of burns and accidents, the pot handles must be positioned so that they
do not protrude over the edge of the cooker or adjacent surfaces.
8.
Do not interfere with any safety component of your pressure cooker beyond the cleaning
and maintenance recommended in this manual.
9.
In case of any problems or faults in the safety systems, contact a Fagor-authorised technical
service centre.
10. When cooking with the Fagor pressure cooker, make sure the safety window (6) is facing
toward the inside of the cooker, away from you. This will reduce the risk of burns in case the
pressure cooker needs to evacuate pressure through this window.
11.
CAUTION: do not use the pressure cooker on an outdoor propane stove or industrial cooker.
This pressure cooker is designed for domestic use only.
