The cooker body (11) can be washed in
a dishwasher, but the lid (1) needs to be
cleaned by hand with warm water and
mild soap.
The pressure cooker must be washed after
each use. Dry the pot with a soft cloth
immediately after washing so it maintains
its original look and shine over time.
Do not store the pot with the lid (1) on.
Place the lid (1) upside down on the pot.
This ensures the pot does not remain
damp, extending the life of the components
(especially
the
silicone
(8)) and preventing bad odours being
generated inside.
Lid (1). Do not wash the pressure cooker lid
(1) or any of its components in a dishwasher.
Wash with warm water and mild soap. Clean
the safety valve (7) with a fine rod, pressing
it from the inside of the lid (1).
Body (11). The cooker body (11) can
be put in a dishwasher. If you clean the
pot by hand, do not use metal scouring
pads or abrasive cleaners, as these may
scratch the outer finish. Salt and acidic
components of the food can cause
corrosion if they remain inside for a long
period of time. Do not use the pressure
cooker as a storage container.
Silicone sealing ring (8). The sealing ring is
made of high strength silicone. Wash it with
warm water and soap, rinse and dry each
time you wash the lid (1). To ensure proper
pot sealing, it is advisable to change the
silicone sealing ring (8) every 12-18 months,
depending on how frequently it is used.
It is also advisable to replace the silicone
sealing ring in the pressure sensor at the
same regularity.
CAUTION: the silicone sealing ring is
considered to be worn out when the
pressure cooker starts to leak steam
and fails to maintain the pressure inside
it. The silicone sealing ring needs to
be replaced approximately every 12-
18 months to ensure proper pressure
cooker operation.
Rear handle (9) and body handle (10). If
you use the pot frequently, we recommend
checking from time to time that the rear
sealing
ring
handle (9) and the body handle (10) of your
pot are properly screwed on. If they are
not, tighten the screws with a screwdriver.
Check these components to make sure the
Bakelite has not suffered any wear. If any
breaks or cracks are seen, they will need to
be replaced.
Spare parts. Use only genuine spare parts.
Use of unauthorised spares could cause the
unit to malfunction and will void any warranty
protection provided by the manufacturer.
Pressure regulator valve (3) (Duo and
Rapid Xpress models). Check after each
use to make sure there are no residues of
any type in the pressure regulator valve (3).
To do this, set the pressure regulator valve
(3) to the steam release position
pull the valve upwards while trying to turn it
anticlockwise until it reaches the extraction
position
removed, clean it by running water through
it. Then, hold the lid (1) up to the light and
look through the chimney where the valve is
housed, making sure that no food particles
are blocking it. To fit the valve in place
again, place it in the extraction position
and turn it clockwise to the steam release
position
