when a large amount of steam begins to
be released through the pressure regulator
valve (3), lower heat source intensity to a
medium-low power. If you inadvertently
keep the heat source at maximum power,
the pressure regulator valve (3) will continue
to allow the steam to escape to regulate
the internal overpressure. Keep this safety
system clean and check regularly that it is
operating properly.
Pressure regulator valve (3) (Dual Xpress
model). This is one of the pressure cooker's
main safety systems. It regulates the
pressure inside, keeping it stable at the
selected value. To allow it to do this, when
you see the pressure indicator (16) ring
appear as selected using the pressure
regulator (15), lower the heat intensity to
a medium-low power. If you leave the heat
intensity at maximum by mistake when the
fourth (red) ring appears on the pressure
indicator (16), the pressure release system
(17) will let steam escape to regulate the
internal overpressure. Keep this safety
system clean and check regularly that it is
operating properly.
Working valve (3) (Level model). EThis is
one of the pressure cooker's main safety
systems. It regulates the pressure inside
and keeps it stable in the ranges set. To do
this, when you see the second ring appear,
lower the heat intensity to medium-low
power. If you inadvertently leave the heat
intensity at maximum when the second ring
appears, the working valve (3) will release
the excess steam to regulate the pressure
inside. Keep this safety system clean and
check regularly that it is operating properly
(see working valve (3) cleaning in the
"Cleaning and care" section).

Safety valve (7). The safety valve (7)
operates when the pressure inside the pot
becomes excessive and, for some reason
such as dirt or blocking due to overfilling,
the working/pressure regulator valve (3)
has not operated first. Do not worry if this
happens. Remove the cooker from the heat
source and let it rest until the pressure
sensor (2) descends and lets you open the
cooker. Check that the working/pressure
regulator valve (3) is clean, is working
properly and that the recommended
maximum fill level has not been exceeded.
If the problem persists, take the cooker to
a Fagor-authorised technical service centre.

Safety window (6). The silicone sealing ring
(8) is associated with the safety window (6).
The two form part of this ultimate safety
system, which acts when the systems
described above are blocked or obstructed.
Overpressure inside the pot will cause the
silicone sealing ring (8) to expand and
appear through the safety window (6),
rapidly releasing the excess pressure. If
this happens at any time, carefully move
the cooker off the heat source and allow
it to stand until the pressure sensor (2)
drops. Take the pressure cooker to a Fagor-
authorised technical service centre for
checking of all the safety systems.
