Feeder Option
The envelope feeder option attaches to the front of your printer
behind the lower front door. It can be removed when you are not
using it, making the printer more compact.
You may install the envelope feeder without turning the printer off
first, but do not remove it when the printer is on. The message
Reattach Envelope Feeder displays if you remove the envelope
feeder when the printer is on. When this message is posted, you
must reconnect the option. In this case, you might be removing the
envelope feeder just to clear a jam.
If you want to remove the envelope feeder for a long period when
you do not really need to print envelopes, wait until the printer
displays Ready. Turn the printer off. Remove the envelope feeder
and turn the printer on.
