Replacement or Installation of an Additional Guide Rail
Installing a standard NIF into a PSU requires that the guide rail be mounted in a PSU.
Installing a high port-density NIF into a PSU requires that the guide rail be removed from a
PSU.

(1) Detachment of a Guide Rail
Comply with the following procedure when removing a guide rail.
Step 1
Remove a Packet Switching Unit.（As for the detachment of a Packet Switching
Unit, see the section 5.6.）
Step 2
Remove the screws from a guide rail of a Packet Switching Unit from the device.

ENGINEER OR A QUALIFIED MAINTENANCE PERSON.
Caution: Do not touch the electronic components on the solder side of a packet
switching unit. To avoid damage, always store these components in
approved anti-static bags.
