Avoid touching the
spark plug
or
tester
probes to prevent
electric shock.
Sea/the ECM
connector
with
tape
to
prevent din and
oil
from entering the
connector after
disconnecting it
If the initial voltage cannot be measured , follow the
checks in the troubleshooting table (page 17-6).
Remove the 12 V battery (page 6-19),
Shift the transmission into neutral.
Crank the engine with the kicks tarter and read the
ig nition coil primary peak voltage.
STANDARD : 100 V minimum
If the peak voltage is lower than the standard value,
follow the checks described in the troubleshooting chart
(page 17-6).
CKP SENSOR PEA K VOLTA GE
NOTE
Check tha t the cylinder compression is normal and the
spark plug is Installed correctly in the cylinder head.
Disconnect the ECM 33P (Black) connector.

NOTE
When reconnecting the ECM connector, check that
there is no dirt and oil in the connector.
'09 - '12:
Connect the peak voltage lester or adaptor probes to
the wire harness side connector terminals .

(Impedance 10 MOJDCV minimum)
Test probe, 2 pack 07ZAJ-RDJA110
Connection :
No.1 CKP sensor:
Blue/yellow (11) (+) - Green/white (10) (-)
No.2 CKP sensor:
White/yellow (7) (+)- Green/white (10) (-)
Shift the transmission into neutral.
Crank the engine with the kickstarter and measure the
CKP sensor peak voltage.
PEAK VOLTAGE:O.7 V minimum
If the voltage measured at the ECM connector is
abnormal, measure the peak voltage at the alternator!
CKP sensor connector.
