keyless access with push-
button start system)
! Access key warning light
This light illuminates when the power is
switched to "ON" and turns off approxi-
mately 2 seconds later.
When the access key is not inside the
vehicle or is under such irregular condi-
tions, the access key warning light on the
meter flashes.
! Engine start warning
Access key warning indication
When the push-button ignition switch is
pressed while the access key is not inside
the vehicle, a chirp sound will be heard,
and the access key warning light will flash.
NOTE
. Carry the access key, and press the
push-button ignition switch.
. Even when the access key is within
the operating ranges inside the vehicle,
the access key warning may be pro-
vided depending on the status of the
access key and the environmental
conditions.
! Access key warning
When the vehicle is driven while the
access key is not inside the vehicle, a
chirp sound will be heard. At the same
time, the access key warning light on the
meter will flash.
NOTE
Carry the access key, and drive the
vehicle.
! Access key takeout warning
When the driver exits of the vehicle with
the access key and closes the driver's
door while the power is in a position other
than "OFF", a chirp sound will be heard,
and the access key warning light will flash.
NOTE
. Switch the power to "OFF", and exit
of the vehicle (MT vehicles).
. Shift the selector lever to the "P"
position, switch the power to "OFF",
and exit of the vehicle (AT vehicles).
. When the access key is taken out of
the vehicle through an open window,
the warning will not be provided.
! Passenger access key takeout warn-
ing
When another passenger exits of the
vehicle with the access key and closes a
door other than the driver's door while the
power is in a position other than "OFF",
the warning chime will sound. At the same
time, the access key warning light will
flash.
NOTE
. When the access key is returned to
the inside of the vehicle or the power is
switched to "OFF", the chirp sound will
stop.
. When the access key is taken out of
the vehicle through an open window,
the warning will not be provided.
