Connecting the JSA5800 Appliance to Ground
To meet safety and electromagnetic interference (EMI) requirements and to ensure proper operation,
you must adequately ground the JSA5800 appliance before connecting it to the power source.
Grounding for the JSA5800 appliance is provided through the power supply ground. Ensure that you
connect the AC power supply module in the appliance to a grounded AC power outlet by using an AC
power cord (with the grounding pin) appropriate for your geographical location.
NOTE: A ground connection to the protective earthing terminal is not required for an AC-
powered JSA5800. The AC power cords provide adequate grounding when you plug the power
supply in the switch into a grounded AC power outlet by using the AC power cord appropriate
for your geographical location.
