PRIORITY MENU
The PRIORITY menu is used to:
• Enable (or disable) user identification passcode entry into
the system,
• Configure each of the eight priority levels,
• Set priority levels for a maximum of 32 keyboards or 64
users,
• Set passcodes for a maximum of 64 users.
Note: If USER IDS is enabled by the User Identification
menu, the #1 entry in the PRIORITY Menu indicates
"SET USER" (page 4-28, first column).
If USER IDS is disabled by the User Identification
menu, the #1 entry in the PRIORITY Menu indicates
"SET KEYBOARD" (page 4-28, second column).
The RETURN MAIN line of the PRIORITY menu returns to
the the Main Selection menu, page 4-2.

USER IDENTIFICATION

The User Identification menu is used to enable or disable the
system passcode entry procedure.
The System Passcode Entry Procedure allows only authorized
personnel to operate the system. The setting for USER IDS
ENABLED does not take effect until the user exits the menu
programming mode.
To enable or disable USER IDS (keyboard passcode entry):
1. Move the cursor to the USER IDS ENABLED line of the
menu.
2. Press the ACK key to toggle the settings:
PREVIOUS MENU - Returns to the PRIORITY menu.
SYSTEM PASSCODE ENTRY
Passcode entry is used as a security procedure to allow only
authorized personnel to operate the system. To enable the
passcode security feature, set USER IDS ENABLED to "Y" in
the User Identification menu, above.
When USER IDS is enabled, the user must have a user number
and a passcode to access the system through a 1678CM or
2078 keyboard. See User Passcode Entry, page 1-2, for the
logon and logoff procedures when USER IDS is enabled.
