4.10 Handling of the SLOT parameters
MODE_SLOT
One-time change (MODE_SLOT = 0)
A one-time change is recommended when another parameter besides OUTPUT_VALUE
must be changed occasionally. The module is not reset in this case. By contrast, if the
change is made by transferring a new parameter data record (Page 155), the module is
reset.
The following parameters are used in the case of the one-time change:
Control Parameters
Feedback Parameters
To make a one-time change, follow these steps:
1. Check if the previous job was successfully performed, which means whether
STS_LD_SLOT has changed and ERR_LD is not set.
2. If ERR_LD is set:
– Write LD_SLOT = 0 and acknowledge the error by setting RES_ERROR. Continue
– Write a valid value in SLOT and LD_SLOT and acknowledge the error by setting
3. Enter a new value in SLOT.
4. Enter a changed value in LD_SLOT.
Note
In the case of a one-time change, it is assumed that, in contrast to the cyclic change, the
same parameter is not changed twice in succession. If you want to change the same
parameter twice in succession, you must insert an "Idle job" (LD_SLOT = 0) between both
jobs.
5. Continue with step 1.
Note
The procedure is also shown in detail in a diagram in the appendix (Page 170).
Note
After a restart of the module, the value of the parameter concerned is overwritten in the
module-internal data record with the value set in the hardware configuration.
