Protection Function Constants: L

The following settings are made with the protection function constants (L constants): Motor selection func-
tion, power loss ridethrough function, stall prevention function, speed detection, torque detection, torque lim-
its, and hardware protection.
Motor Overload: L1
User constants for motor overloads are shown in the following table.

Description
Range
Sets whether the motor over-
load function is enabled or dis-
abled at electric thermal
0 or 1
overload relay.
0: Disabled
1: Enabled
Sets protection time when over-
load of the motor overload
detection level (L1-07) is
applied to the load status that
was lower than the motor over-
load detection start level (L1-
06).
1.0 to
The factory setting is 60.0 sec-
300.0
ound.
When the motor's overload
resistance is known, also set the
overload resistance protection
time for when the motor is hot
started.
Select the operation when the
motor temperature (electric
thermal) exceeds the operation
detection level.
0: Decelerate to stop
0 to 3
1: Coast to stop
2: Emergency stop using the
deceleration time in C1-09.
3: Continue operation
Sets the motor overload detec-
tion start level.
20 to
The set value must be smaller
than L1-07.
Sets the motor overload detec-
tion level.
30 to
The set value must be bigger
than L1-06.
