8.4.1

Operation

In the event count operation, an external input, as a count clock, can be counted.
8-bit Event Count Operation
In the event count operation, TMnBC counts the input signal to the TMnIO pin from the external. When the value
of TMnBC matches the setting value of timer n compare register, an interrupt request is generated at the next
count clock. For event count input clock of each timer, refer to Table:8.1.1.
Count Timing of TMnIO Input
When TMnIO input is selected, TMnIO input becomes the count clock of Timer n. The binary counter starts
counting up at the falling edge of the TMnIO input signal.
