5.1 Hot swap procedure

failing you can hear a buzzer alarm that can be reset by pushing the red buzzer reset button [32] at the back of

. The failing power module can be replaced with a spare module without power down the H
YDRA
the alarm buzzer there is a visual indication of a power failure via the green LED [30] at the back. This LED is
blinking in case of a power error. Then the defective power module can be located by examining the individual
LED's [42] of the power modules. If the green LED on a power module is off, the module is defective and must be
replaced.

5.1.1 Exchange of the power module

Locate the defective power module by examining the green LED's [42] on the individual power modules. If
an LED is not lightened the respective power module is defective.
Turn off the individual power switch [43] of the defective power module!
Use gloves to remove the power module. The cover of the power module is been used as
heat sink for cooling, usually the temperature is around 50 – 60° Celsius under full
condition!
Loosen the securing screws [39] of the power module!
Use the handle [40] to remove the defective power module by pulling it out!
Put the power module aside for cooling down. Keep it away from other people unless it has
cooled down!
Take a good power module and check that its power switch [34] is switched off.
Insert the power module into the system! If inserting a 600W power module check that the voltage selector
on the back of the module is set to the right voltage, see section
Turn on the power module with the power switch [43] on the power module!
Check if the green LED

Check the green LED power failure [30], which indicates the total power system status. The LED may not
blink!
Tighten the securing screws [39]!
