Procedure steps
1. Remove the Secure Router 2330 top cover. For information, see
Secure Router 2330 top cover
2. Locate the PVIM module. See the following figure for reference.
3. Release the latches that secure the PVIM in the slot. There is a release latch at both
ends of the PVIM slot.
4. Firmly grasp the edges of the PVIM and pull straight up to remove the PVIM from
the slot.
5. If you are not installing a PVIM module at this time, replace the chassis top cover.
Replacing the Secure Router 2330 DIMM
Use the instructions in this section if you must replace the internal DIMM on the Secure Router
2330. This internal device is not hot swappable.
Caution:
The internal DIMM module is not hot swappable. Do not open the Secure Router 2330 top
cover while the unit is powered.
Prerequisites
• Ensure you have a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
• Ensure the Secure Router 2330 is powered off.
• Ensure you have a replacement DIMM ready to install.
