On the General tab, enter the new information for the folder.

On the Compress tab, indicate whether this folder and its contents are to be compressed, and
if so, how.

After all changes have been completed, click OK.

Creating a new share for a volume or folder

Within the WebUI, there are two access points to the same screens used to create file shares:
A share can be created for a folder while working with that folder in the Folders page.
A share can be created and, if necessary, new folders can be created, while working with file
shares on the Shares page.
This section discusses creating shares from the Folders page, and is an overview of the procedures.

NOTE:
On select servers this function operates in a cluster but should only be used for non-cluster aware shares.
Use Cluster Administrator to create shares for a cluster.
To create a new share for a specific volume or folder while on the Folders page:
1.
Navigate to the desired volume or folder, and then click Manage Shares.

Click New.
