1.2 DC Power RAP
This RAP is used for problems related t o the
loss of all or part of the DC Power.
Q
The
+
5 V and
+
15V LEDs, when lit,
indicate that DC voltage is available
on the LVPS PWB.
Initial Actions
a
Ensure that the connectors PIJ 4, and
PIJ 9, are connectedlseated properly.
Procedure
The
+
5V
and
+
15V
LEDs on the low voltage
power supply are lit.

I
Set the DMM t o read AC. Connect the
DMM t o PIJ 4 Pins 1 and 4.

Ensure the Fuse F1 on the LVPS is not
open. The Fuse is open.

and check for a short
circuit. Replace the Fuse (Fl) and
disconnect PIJ9.
Set the DMM t o
read AC, and
connect the meter
leads from PIJ4 pin 6 t o PlJ4 pin 10.
There is 22 t o 25 VAC.
I
Replace the Transformer (TI).

C
I
C
Reconnect PIJ 9.
If the problem persists replace the
Controller PWB (A3).
Note: Intermittent failure o f the
LVPS fuse can be a result o f electrical
noise on the ACN line. This is often
caused by having the 3001 on a
shared line with other equipment,
particularly a another small copier.
I
Connect the meter leads from P/J4 pin 6
t o PlJ4 pin 10. There is 22 t o 25 VAC.
Replace the Transformer (TI).
i N
Disconnect PIJ
9.
I
The
+
5V
and
+
15V
LEDs on the low
voltage power supply are lit.
I
Replace the LVPS PWB (A2).
Replace the Controller PWB (A3).
Set the DMM t o the 200 VDC range. Connect
(-)
t o the GND test point on the HVPS and
measure the following LVPS voltages:
P/J 9Pin3 =
+
10VDC(+2.5to + I 4
VDC)
If any voltage i s missing, go t o FLAG 1 and
check for
and
open circuit.
If there
is
no
open circuit replace the Low Voltage Power
Supply PWB (A2).
