Commissioning the Hand-Held Terminals IndraCon‐
trol VEH 30.1, VEH 30.2 or VCH 08.1
The 16-bit counter of the handwheel is mapped at the fieldbus in the "Hand‐
wheel" module .

Mount the VAM 12.1/VAM 42.1 according to the specifications in
"Installation" on page
40. In addition to the VAM 12.1/VAM 42.1 main supply
connect the connection module to the voltage supply. Wire the STOP circuit,
the enabling circuit and the network at the VAC 30.2.
Before commissioning the hand-held terminals IndraControl VEH 30.1,
VEH 30.2 or IndraControl VCH 08.1, the operator has to verify that the instal‐
lation, especially the safety devices, are in a proper state.
NOTICE
Before commissioning the IndraControl VEH 30.1, VEH 30.2 oder VCH 08.1 do
observe that the STOP button is not pressed.
To connect the hand-held terminal VEH 30.1, VEH 30.2 or VCH 08.1 put the
connector without effort on the flange of the VAC connection module. Observe
the latch position of the connection. Former connecting cables with angled plug,
are fitted in a 45° angle to the horizontal. Only if the connector snaps in properly,
the correct position is reached. Now turn the knurled nut with slight pressure
on the flange.
NOTICE
While the connector is screwed on a VAC connection module, a relay activates
the STOP button. In this way the VEH 30.1, VEH 30.2 or VCH 08.1 is supplied
with voltage. Screw the knurled nut as far as the rubber seal is completely cov‐
ered and the end position is reached to ensure the optimal connection of the
contacts and to achieve the specified degree of protection.
During commissioning the IndraControl VEH 30.1, VEH 30.2 or VCH 08.1 and
regularly during the routine operation verify all three positions of the enabling
device from both sides for correct function.
Verify the STOP button or EMERGENCY STOP button for correct function in
safe state of the plant of the IndraControl VEH 30.1, VEH 30.2 or VCH 08.1 in
regular intervals and during commissioning.
