4. If the system does not complete the POST procedure or start loading an
operating system, refer to the "General Loose Connections" section in
the Compaq Servers Troubleshooting Guide.
5. If the server is power cycling, verify that the Automatic Server
Recovery-2 (ASR-2) utility has restarted the system in response to
another problem.
In the Compaq Servers Troubleshooting Guide, refer to sections on the
Automatic Server Recovery-2 (ASR-2). Also refer to the "System
Short" section in the same guide.
NOTE: ASR-2 can be enabled to restart your server and automatically load the operating
system. If a critical error occurs, ASR-2 logs the error in the Integrated Management Log
(IML) and restarts the server. The system ROM pages the designated administrator and
executes the normal restart process.
6. Restart the server. Use the following "Normal Power-up Sequence"
section in this guide to verify that your system is powering up properly.
If the troubleshooting measures executed so far do not solve the problem,
continue to the procedures in the following section, "Diagnosis Steps."
