Static Route Screens
This chapter shows you how to configure static routes for your Contivity 221.
Static Route Overview
8.1
Each remote node specifies only the network to which the gateway is directly connected, and the
Contivity 221 has no knowledge of the networks beyond. For instance, the Contivity 221 knows
about network N2 in the following figure through remote node Router 1. However, the Contivity
221 is unable to route a packet to network N3 because it doesn't know that there is a route through
the same remote node Router 1 (via gateway Router 2). The static routes are for you to tell the
Contivity 221 about the networks beyond the remote nodes.
