Disassembling the cylinder block

1. Remove the crankcase bolts in the
sequence numbers (a, b, · · ·).

TIP:
Do not remove the plugs a from the crank-
case.
2. Remove the connecting rod bolts and the
connecting rod caps b, and then remove
the
connecting
assemblies c.

TIP:
• Make sure to keep the bearings in the order
as they were removed.
• Mark each piston with an identification
number a of the corresponding cylinder.
• Do not mix the connecting rods and caps.
Keep them organized in their proper
groups.
3. Remove the main bearing cap bolts in
the sequence numbers (a, b, · · ·).
