Export (Upload) a File From the Switch

The switch supports system file exports (uploads) from the switch to a remote system by
using either TFTP or HTTP.
The Export menu contains links to the features described in the following sections.

Export a File to the TFTP Server

HTTP File Export
USB File Export
Export a File to the TFTP Server
Use the TFTP File Export screen to export (upload) configuration (ASCII), log (ASCII), and
image (binary) files from the switch to a TFTP server on the network.
To export a file from the switch to the TFTP server:

Select Maintenance > Export > TFTP File Export.

From the File Type list, specify the type of file you want to export. The factory default is Text
Configuration.
Text Configuration. Retrieve the stored text configuration.
Error Log. Retrieve the system error (persistent) log, sometimes referred to as the
event log.
Trap Log. Retrieve the system trap records.
Buffered Log. Retrieve the system buffered (in-memory) log.
Tech Support. Retrieve the tech support file, which contains a variety of hardware,
software, and configuration information that can assist in device and network
troubleshooting.
Crash Logs. Specify crash logs to retrieve them.
