2.2.8 L3 VPN Configuration (IPVPNs)

In this section we shall configure 2 separate any-any IPVPNs:
1. Green IPVPN with Vpn-id 001
2. Red IPVPN with Vpn-id 002
Both IPVPNs will be created across all 5 sites, though this does not need to be the case. If an IPVPN is
required only between 2 or say 3 sites, then it only needs to be created on the relevant Sites.
Every IPVPN needs to be terminated in a VRF instance. In software release 5.0, the ERS 8600 can scale
up to 255 VRFs, hence this design can scale up to 255 distinct IPVPNs, if these IPVPNs are terminated
at all 5 Sites.
In addition to that, overlapping IPVPNs can also be created to interconnect existing VRFs. This will be
covered in the next section where an overlapping Internet IPVPN is created to provide Internet access to
both the Green & Red VRFs.
