To perform a ping across an IPVPN the source VRF and Source IP must always be

specified. Indeed the ping Source IP option is only functional for IPVPN pings. As
Source IP always select a local IP interface belonging to the VRF; these can be viewed
with ―show ip interface vrf <vrf name>‖

3.13 Verifying BGP IPVPN Routes for Internet VRFs

The same discussion as covered in section 3.7 will also apply to the Internet VRFs on Site1 and Site2.
Step 1 – Verify the import RTs defined on the Internet VRF
