2.2.11.4 Configuring Autotopology settings
The Topology Discovery Protocol (TDP) allows Avaya devices to exchange and maintain physical
topology information. This information is retrieved by the Network Management application (e.g. ESM)
and displayed as a topology map.
For L3 Switches like the ERS 8600 it can be necessary to configure Autotopology to advertise a specific
IP address type; there are 3 possible options (a) inband local interface IP address, (b) inband CircuitLess
IP address or (c) Out-of-band IP address.
For this design we shall assume that Management is inband and that the CLIP#1 address should be used
for Autotopology tables.

2.2.11.5 Configuring SNMP-v3 access
The following steps will enable SNMP access to the ERS 8600 using only SNMP-v3. Access via insecure
SNMPv1v2 will be disabled.
A number of SNMP-v3 USM users will defined:
 admin :
 admingreen :
 adminred :
 user :
 usergreen :
 userred :
All the above USM usernames will be configured for MD5 authentication and AES encryption.
