If the Printer Cannot Be Operated

If the following conditions arise while users are operating the printer, provide the instructions on how to
deal with them.
Condition
Cannot perform the following:
• Print with the printer driver
Cannot perform the following:

After starting "User
Management Tool" or "Address
Management Tool" in
SmartDeviceMonitor for
Admin/Device Manager NX
Lite and entering the correct
login user name and password,
a message that an incorrect
password has been entered
appears.
Cause
User authentication has been
rejected.
The encryption key specified in
the driver does not match the
printer's driver encryption key.
"Drvr Encrp Key:Encrp Strng"(SP
4510DN) / "Driver Encryption
Key:Encryption Strength"(SP
4520DN) is not set correctly.
Alternatively, "SSL/TLS" has
been enabled although the
required certificate is not
installed in the computer.
If the Printer Cannot Be Operated
Solution
Check the user name and login
name with the administrator of
the network in use if using
Windows authentication, LDAP
authentication, or Integration
Server authentication.
Confirm with the user
administrator if using Basic
authentication.
Specify the driver encryption
key registered in the printer.

Set "Drvr Encrp Key:Encrp
Strng"(SP 4510DN) / "Driver
Encryption Key:Encryption
Strength"(SP 4520DN) to
Simple Encryption. Alternatively,
enable "SSL/TLS", install the
server certificate in the printer,
and then install the certificate in
the computer.
