10. Mechanical Parts Replacement and Adjustment Procedures
General
When mechanical parts are replaced, pay attention to
the following notes.
1.
Turn power off before replacing any part.
2.
If any adjustment is required after replacing parts,
perform the required adjustments.
3.
Use proper fixture tools.
4.
Make sure to clean the parts after replacement,
Also when the mechanical parts are replaced,
follow the replacement procedure.
10-1. Drum Unit Replacement
(Removal)
1.
Remove the T1 Guide and Cleaning Arm Unit
(Refer to item 10-8).
2.
After removing the mechanical chassis according
to item 11-4., disconnect the connector (A) and
the 3 screws (A).
Remove the screw (B) and the drum unit with care not
to scratch the cable (A).

Note: Be careful when removing the flexible cable
from the connector. Refer to the way to remove
the connector as shown in Figure 10-1-4.

Note: Never touch the cylinder with a finger directly
when pulling out the Cylinder Unit.
