• Tool
For tightening the terminal, use a commercially available small screwdriver with straight tip that is not widened
toward the end as shown below.
■Precautions
If the diameter of the screwdriver tip is too small, the required tightening torque cannot be achieved. To achieve
the appropriate tightening torque shown in the previous page, use the following screwdriver or its equivalent
(grip diameter: approximately 25 mm).

Termination resistor setting

Make sure to provide a termination resistor at both ends of the wire.
The built-in RS-485 port, FX5-485-BD and FX5-485ADP have a built-in termination resistor.
Set the termination resistor selector switch as below.
