Use the description command to identify the specified interface, both physical and virtual (for example,
circuit ID, contact information, etc.).
Syntax Description
<text> Identifies the specified interface using up to 80 alphanumeric characters.
Default Values
No defaults required for this command.
Usage Examples
The following example enters comment information using the description command:
ProCurve(config)#interface t1 1/1
ProCurve(config-t1 1/1)#description This is the Dallas office T1
