You can change the value of all variables except for the system variables (variables
starting with '_'). See
"The
tion.
All system variables start with an underscore at the beginning of their name ('_'). You
can not manually change the value of such variables as these are required for unique
identification of the device.
Preserved variables start with 'CONF' or 'HOST' at the beginning of their names.
Variables starting with 'CONF' are used by the SpeedTouch™ (embedded) Setup
wizard to allow identification and localization of the configuration profile/file.
Variables starting with 'HOST' can only be used by the SpeedTouch™ Setup wizard, run
from the SpeedTouch™ Setup CD-ROM, to allow automatic IP configuration of
Microsoft Windows systems.
In case of a telnet session or serial access the SESSIONTIMEOUT variable identifies
after how many seconds a session is disconnected. For security reasons this value is set
to 2 minutes (120 seconds) by default.
Use SESSIONTIMEOUT=0 to disable all connection time limitations for sessions.
