5 SpeedTouch™610 Configuration Management

Once uploaded, the SpeedTouch™610 asks you to confirm that you want the

SpeedTouch™610 to effectively apply the uploaded configuration:
An information logging will show some results of uploading the configuration.
Unexpected configurations and errors will be reported, if applicable.
Based on the upload result reports, you can click:
Accept
To accept the uploaded configuration and apply it immediately.
Restore previous
To discard the uploaded configuration and restore the previous configura-
tion (i.e. the configuration as applied by the SpeedTouch™610 before the
upload).
Be aware that by uploading a new configuration also the IP configuration of

the SpeedTouch™610 may have been changed. In that case the information
logging as described in step
- hence accept - the new configuration, you must browse to the Speed-
Touch™610 web pages using its new IP address, and click Save All.
What happens in fact is that during upload of the new configuration file, this configura-
tion is temporarily applied and stored in the SpeedTouch™610's '/dl' subdirectory as
temp.cfg configuration file.
Pressing Accept (or Save All) will trigger the SpeedTouch™610 to save its configu-
ration, thus overwriting the existing user.ini file with the new configuration.
Pressing Restore previous will trigger the SpeedTouch™610 to load the existing
user.ini, stored on its '/dl' subdirectory, thus re-applying the previously saved
configuration.
In a second step the temporary configuration file temp.cfg will be deleted from the
SpeedTouch™610 permanent storage.
