A single pattern in Knit-in (Fair Isle) can be knitted at any
position on the fabric.
The sample is knitted with the Pattern
No.5-(14).
Before knitting patterns in this stitch type, follow the
Preparatory Steps given on pages 19-22, and additional
cares instructed below.
BEFORE KNITTING THE PATTERN
Set
the
Point
Cams at both end needles of the width of a
unit of the pattern and
place
the Needle-1 Cam to confront
with the left
Point
Cam as shown in the diagram.
As this pattern is of 36 stitch wide pattern, the Point Cams
must demarcate 36 needles within them.
When
knitting in single
motif pattern,
the
Button
1 must
remain in "UP"
position
(Its
left light
is on.).

Open
the latches of the 4th, 5th and 6th needles on the
outsides of the knitting needles.
Insert
the Yarn Separator under those needles on both
sides as far as they go.
Set the Carriage controls.
