THREADING THE AUTO-TENSION
IMPORTANT:
Before threading the yarn, be sure to set the Card
Stand
referring to page 20. (Leave the Card Stand at
its
position even
if
you do not use the Pattern Card or Design
Card
or the knitting machine is not in use.)
Following the numbers given in the diagram below, guide the yarn through the Auto-Tension, and put its end in the Yarn
Clips on the Yarn Rod. Guide the second yarn through the Auto-Tension in the same manner as done for
the
first yarn
if
needed.

Adjusting the Tension Dial
According
to the thickness of the yarn,
select
a
suitable
number and set it to the notch
.
Recommended Tension Dial for the type of yarn

Cotton or nylon thread

Incorrect threading of the yarn through the Auto-Tension
will never assure a success in
knitting.
Ch.eck following two points.
1. Correct tension is given to the yarn.
(Check the distance between the tension spring and
the
yarn guide- 10-20cm. must be maintained
.)
2. Yarn comes out freely from the
yarn
ball.
It is advisable to pull out a certain length of the yarn
from
the yarn ball before
casting
on.
