tem. They are located in the right wheelarch,

1. Fuel vapour cut-off solenoid
2. Charcoal filter
Charcoal filter
This consists of charcoal granules (4) which retain the
fuel vapours entering through the connection (5).
The scrubbing air w h i c h enters through the c o n -
nection ( 1 ) , passing through the paper filter ( 3 ) ,
envelops the charcoal granules, removing the petrol
vapours and conveying them towards the outlet (2)
and then to the cut-off valve.
The air, w h i c h comes in through the connection
( 5 ) , can also be recalled by the vacuum in the tank,
so ventilating it. The partition (6) ensures that the
scrubbing air drawn in envelops all the charcoal
granules, encouraging the release of petrol vapours
to the inlet manifold.
There are also t w o springs (7) w h i c h allow expan-
sion of the mass of granules when the pressure i n -
creases.
