The system is equipped w i t h an autodiagnostic function w h i c h is designed to verify an irregular state for
the following components:

Actuators

injectors
coils
charcoal filter solenoid valve
engine idle adjustment actuator
electric fuel pump relay
climate control relays (if fitted)

Location of diagnostic connector

Working w i t h the diagnostic equipment, it is possible to carry out a complete fault diagnosis of the sys-
tem, which consists of three stages:
- display of a series of functional parameters (with the engine switched off or running);
- display of the errors and their cancelling;
- activation of certain actuators (active diagnosis).
Recovery strategy
If a fault is detected with the sensors/actuators, the control unit, where possible, replaces the missing i n -
formation, reconstructing it using software (recovery) to allow the opertion of the engine.

sensor is excluded from the system until normal
operation has been restored.
The detection of a confirmed fault usually i n -
