Service and Maintenance
CAUTION
Mixing sizes, brands or types of
tires on your vehicle (other than
the tire size/type originally
installed on your vehicle) could
cause you to lose control while
driving and may also damage
the vehicle. Be sure to use the
correct size, brand and type
tires on all wheels.
Using a tire or wheel size other
than the size originally installed on
your vehicle may cause problems
or damage to various vehicle
systems, such as braking, ride
and handling, and resistance to
rollover, and to electronic systems
like antilock brakes, traction
control and stability control.
. . . 374
CAUTION
If you add different sized
wheels, and then if tires not
recommended for those wheels
are selected, your vehicle may
not provide an acceptable level
of performance and safety.
You may increase the chance
that you will crash and suffer
serious injury.
Only use GM specific wheel
and tire systems developed for
your vehicle, and have them
properly installed by a GM
certified technician.
CAUTION
Never drive faster than the
speed for which your tires are
rated, regardless of the legal
speed limit. If you anticipate
driving your vehicle at high
speeds frequently and/or for
prolonged periods of time,
check with your vehicle/tire
dealer for the proper type of
tires to use for your specific
driving and weather conditions.
