Starting and Operating Instructions

SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
If your vehicle is equipped with a
removable ignition key, see
"Remote Keyless Entry System"
earlier in this section for more
information.

CAUTION
Do not leave children in the
vehicle with the keyless access
transmitter.
Vehicle ignition and starting
functions could be activated if
the transmitter is in the vehicle.
The children could operate the
power windows or other
controls and could even start
the vehicle and make the
vehicle move.
Children can be seriously
injured or killed if caught in the
path of a closing window.
Do not leave children
unattended in the vehicle.
Your vehicle may be equipped
with a passive/active Keyless
Access transmitter.
With this system you can press a
transmitter button to lock and
unlock your doors and release your
trunk from up to 60 meters away
from the vehicle.
The passive entry system allows
you to unlock your doors and
access your trunk passively,
without removing the transmitter
from your pocket, purse, etc. You
do not need to use the transmitter
buttons.
Passive functions operate when
the transmitter is within 1 meter of
the door or trunk.
