Locking Fuel Door

Your vehicle is equipped with a
locking fuel filler door.
The fuel door is locked or unlocked
every time the driver's door is
locked or unlocked with the power
door locks or the transmitter.
See the following in Section 3 for
more information:
• Remote Keyless Entry System
• Keyless Access System
If the power lock doesn't unlock
the fuel door, use the manual lock
release strap in the trunk.
Manual Fuel Door Release
In case of an electrical system
failure, you can use the manual
release strap located on the right
side of the trunk.
1. Open the trunk and locate the
access panel on the right side
of the vehicle.
2. Open the access panel, and
pull the strap to release the
fuel filler door.
The strap is located above the
battery.
If the problem persists, see your
dealer for service.

Filling the Tank

The cap is behind a locking fuel
door on the right side of your
vehicle.
The fuel door is locked or unlocked
every time the driver's door is
locked or unlocked with the power
door locks or the transmitter.
