If Setup is Not Possible through USB Connection (Windows)

If a printer icon is not created in the [Printer] folder

A printer icon is created in the [Printer] folder but printing is not possible
If the "Install Printer Driver Failed" error message is displayed in the Setup Program

If a printer icon is not created in the [Printer] folder
The printer driver is not set up correctly. Set up the printer driver again.
Installing Printer Drivers in a Computer
A printer icon is created in the [Printer] folder but printing is not possible
The port for the print destination is not set correctly with the printer driver. Check the settings as follows:
1.
Click [Start], and then select [Devices and Printers].
2.
Right-click the [OKI B432] icon, and then select [B432(*)] from [Printer properties].
* Select a printer driver type to use.
3.
Set an item in the list on the [Ports] tab to the following value.
For connection with a USB cable
Note
If [USBxxx] is not displayed in the list, check that the printer is turned on, re-connect the USB cable, and then perform steps 1
to 3 again.
If the "Install Printer Driver Failed" error message is displayed in the Setup Program
You must set up the printer driver by using Plug-and-Play. Check that you set up the printer driver by taking the following procedure:
1.
Check that the printer and computer are turned off.
2.
Connect a USB cable.
3.
Turn the printer on.
4.
Start the computer.
5.
When "Add New Hardware Wizard" is displayed, follow the on-screen instructions to perform the setup
operation.

Symptom
The computer does not support the USB
interface.
It is possible that the USB cable does
not meet the standard.
The interface is disabled.
The setup procedure is incorrect.
The USB cable is disconnected.
Solution
Check that the USB controller is displayed in
Device Manager.
Use a USB 2.0 cable.
Set [USB] to "ENABLE" in the printer's menu
settings.
Perform the setup procedure from the beginning
again.
Insert the USB cable.
