If You Suspect Something is Wrong

The printer cannot be turned on.
The power cord is
unplugged.
The power is out.
The printer does not start printing.
An error is displayed.
The printer cable is disconnected.
There is a problem with the printer cable.
It is possible that the printer cable or LAN cable
does not meet the standard.
There may be a problem with the printer's print
function.
The interface is disabled.
Status is [Offline].
A printer driver is not selected.
The output port of the printer driver is
incorrect.
The time-out period set on the computer has
elapsed.
A print process stops.
There is a break in the printer cable.
There is an abnormal sound.
The printer is inclined.
There are paper fragments or foreign objects inside the
printer.
The top cover is opened.
The printer does not start printing immediately. The printer takes time to start printing.
The printer is warming up to exit
Power Save, Sleep, or Deep Sleep
mode.
The printer is adjusting the
temperature of the fuser unit.
The printer is processing data
from another interface.
The print comes off when rubbed by fingertips. When printed sheets are put on top of each other, their back
sides become stained.
The settings of the media
weight and type are
incorrect.
Recycled paper is used.
Turn the printer off, and then plug in the power cord firmly.
Check whether the power is supplied to the outlet and whether a power failure
has occurred.
Check Error Message Search.
Insert the printer cable.
Replace it with a spare printer cable, if available.
Use a USB 2.0 cable or category 5 or higher,
twisted pair, straight LAN cable.
Check that you can perform a test print by using
the printer.
In the menu settings of the printer, set the
interface you are using as [ENABLE].
Press
PRINT].
Select a printer driver. For Windows, set to
[default printer].
Select the output port that the printer cable is
connected to.
Set a longer time-out period in [TIMEOUT INJOB]
under [SYSTEM ADJUST].
If you set longer time to [POW SAVE TIME] or [SLEEP TIME] in [SYSTEM ADJUST]
on the printer's setup menu, you can extend the time period before entering Power
Save mode.
Wait for a while.
Wait until printing is completed.
Select [MENUS] > [TRAY CONFIG] on the printer's setup menu, and then set correct values in
[MEDIATYPE] and [MEDIAWEIGHT]. Alternatively, set a value one level heavier for
[MEDIAWEIGHT].
Select [MENUS] > [TRAY CONFIG] on the printer's setup menu, and then set a value one
level heavier for [MEDIAWEIGHT].

Replace the printer cable.
Place the printer on a flat surface.
Check inside the printer, and then remove
them.
Press the center of the top cover to close it.
